Staying safe

Staying Safe

Ensuring that Children and Young People stay safe is vital in today's changing society.

We believe that education has an important role to play in enabling Children and Young People to recognise the risks themselves and to understand how they can reduce them.

The Genesis Education Personal Safety Awareness programme is a series of accredited awards that focus on keeping Children and Young People safe whether at home, at school or at play.

These awards align with Every Child Matters, Stay Safe and the new QCA National Curriculum and personal development requirements.

School delivery is supported with curriculum mapped resources and lesson plans that include teacher objectives, lesson outcomes, national strategy/key skill alignment, three tier differentiation, assessment and home work sheets.

All participating schools will be provided with lesson extension downloads. These will enable the safety theme to be integrated into on-going schemes of work.
